Penalty imposed on 20 people for violating lockdown

Bhilai, Sep 22: The Bhilai Municipal Corporation team on Tuesday took action against around 20 persons and levied a penalty of Rs 15200 for violating the guidelines of lockdown. Among those are included Saurabh Ispat Udhyog, Mangal Bazar in Chhawni area, and grocery store in Laxmi Market. The team from Zone-4 Veer Shivaji Nagar helped close down the Mangal Bazar in Chhawni area due to overcrowding. Traders were warned not to put up markets. Assistant Revenue Officer Balakrishna Naidu informed that social distancing norms were not being followed in the market. For this reason, the corporation and the police team took action and closed down the market.
As per the directions of the Bhilai Commissioner Ritaraj Raghuvanshi, the Revenue Department team continued to act strictly for the third day also. Action was taken against Saurabh Ispat Udhyog operating in Chauhan estate. The office was open and employees were working even during the lockdown period. The challan was taken against the organisation for violation of the order. At the same time, they were given advice to keep the office closed for the period of lock down. On the third day of the lockdown, zone-I team imposed a fine of Rs 7500 in Laxmi Nagar market on eight persons including Sanjay Masala and egg shop. The team of zone-2 led by sanitation inspector Anil Mishra recovered a fine of Rs 900 from four persons in Vaishali Nagar area, Rs 5000 from one person in Zone -4 and Rs 1800 rupees from seven persons in Zone 5. The shopkeepers were given advice to abide by the rules of the lockdown. It may be mentioned that the team of the corporation administration is inspecting the market area in the morning and evening. Action is being taken against those who are roaming around aimlessly or opening shop against the order of the district administration.
