Raipur, Sep 26: CM Bhupesh Baghel was the Chief Guest in the 51st central convention of Chandranahu Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj (CKKS) in Mahasamund here on Sunday. Addressing the convention, Baghel said that it is with participation of all in the society that any society develops and it brings social harmony. A society is one which takes people from all sections of the society together and paves way for welfare of one & all. The programme was organised at Shantribai School premises near Mahasamund- Bagbahra road today. CM also laid emphasis on maintaining social unity. On this occasion the senior citizens and office bearers of CKKS welcomed CM. Baghel also dedicated the second floor of Shantribai College and Chandroday Public School at the cost of Rs 70 lakhs. This construction work has been done by Chhattisgarh Chandranahu Shikshan Samiti and MLA’s funds.
CM speaking further said that the well-known personalities and ancestors of this Samaj have played significant role in formation of new Chhattisgarh. The personalities of CKKS have given valuable contribution in the field of education, agriculture, co-operative and social reforms. CM Baghel said that there has been significant works in the field of Education, health facilities in Chhattisgarh. Citing about the schemes of the state government he claimed that the poor, farmers, labourers and people from all sections of society are being benefitted from these schemes.
Baghel further said that villagers are reaping rich benefits from Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana and Suraji Gaon Yojana and other schemes of the state government. He said that for better education to students in each district, government has formed Swamy Atmanand Govt English Medium Schools (SAGEMS) and by which children will be immensely benefitted.
Programme was also addressed by RS MP Chhaya Verma, Parliamentary Secretary Vinod Chandrakar, State President CKKS Ashwini Chandrakar. On this occasion the members of Samaj handed over mementoes to the guests. MLA Basna Devendra Bahadur Singh, MLA Khallari Dwarkadheesh Yadav, MLA Pandaria Mamta Chandrakar and public representatives of Nagar Nigam, Mandals were present in large number.
