Higher Education Department issues order

Raipur, Oct 27: Online classes will start from November 1 for academic session 2020-21 in all universities and colleges of Chhattisgarh. The Higher Education Department has issued an order from the Mahanadi Bhawan here and has instructed the registrars of all the state universities and all the college students to start online from November 1.
In the order issued by the Department of Higher Education, it has been said that earlier orders were issued to start admission in the first year of graduation from August 1 and to start online teaching in a phased manner from the month of September. But due to Covid-19, the process of admission could not be completed due to the public transport system not operating smoothly and the lockdown in various districts of the state from time to time.
In view of the above circumstances, the last date for admission has been extended to October 29 by the state government. Examinations of almost all subjects have been completed in all the universities and colleges of the state and the results have also been declared. In connection with the directive to start teaching work by UGC from November 1, the state government has issued instructions to start online teaching work in all universities and colleges of the state from November 1.
