One more National Patent for SAIL-BSP due to efforts of GP Singh

Bhilai, Jul 31: SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant has been getting numerous awards and accolades at National and International level due to innovative jobs by its employees. Employees of BSP have earned a special recognition across the Nation due to these efforts. One such employee is GP Singh, HoD and Acting CGM (Safety & FS).
A Patent was given for ‘A System for controlling and managing Burner operation in Sinter Plant’ by Indian government’s Patent office of Intellectual Property India under Patent Act 1970 due to efforts, design and execution by GP Singh. It has been registered as Patent no 370951. This Patent is valid for a period of 20 years.
GP Singh has earned recognition for his innovative jobs by acquiring this patent. A number of benefits have been accrued by SAIL-BSP due to this innovative job. Adding a feather in cap to the Plant’s Safety drive, the job will reduce machine downtime and costs. This had led to credibility of Measurement and Instrumentation and safety of men and machinery.
GP Singh has done B Tech in Electronics from IIT Chennai and then pursued MBA (Finance). Apart from being Acting CGM (Safety & FS), he has also been the Director of Quality Circle Forum of India. He has been awarded various prestigious awards including 4 Vishwakarma National awards, Corporate level best Suggestion award, MD trophy for Most Innovative Manager, Jawahar award, Apex awards for excellent Suggestions etc.
He has 2 Copyrights and 3 Patents registered in his name. He has participated in International Quality circle competitions held in Japan, China and India. He has also presented more than 15 technical papers in National and International Seminars. Anirban Dasgupta, Director I/c (BSP) and Anjani Kumar, ED (Works) and the Plant collective extend their best wishes to GP Singh for his accomplishment.
