One arrested in land grab case

Bhilai, Jun 10: Police have arrested an active member of Bharatiya Janata Party in connection with a land grab case. He is among the three accused in two cases of this kind. Jamul Police informed that the accused is Vinod Singh alias Shyam Bahadur Singh (38) son of Mathura Singh a resident of Kailash Nagar (Jamul). He has been arrested and was produced before the court from where he has been sent to jail on judicial remand.
Subhash Chand of Camp-1; Muhammad Sageer of Camp-1 and Ajay Jaiswal of Camp-2 had lodged complaint against him. The accused had illegally captured plots of sizes 2400 sq ft, 2800 sq ft and 2200 sq ft which are legally owned by the complainants. Police had lodged this complaint under sections 447, 427, 294, 341, 506, 34 of IPC on November 03, 2018.
Another complaint was lodged by Lata Singh and Surya Narayan Murty on March 25, 2019. They had complained that Vinod Singh, Mahesh Gupta, Dharmendra Bansal and G Suresh had illegally captured their plots of land of size 2400 sq feet and 0.030 hectare situated in Kurud. This case was lodged under sections 447, 454, 294, 506-B, 427, 34 of IPC. Police had sought details of the aforesaid lands from the Revenue Department and after getting the report in favour of the complainants, police has launched further proceedings. Accordingly, Vinod Singh was arrested on Wednesday. Other accused will also be arrested soon.
