On-line course on medical education technologies by AIIMS Raipur

126 registered medical teachers are getting training by 12 medical faculties
On-line course to be concluded on 20 August

Medical Education Unit under the aegis of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur is organizing the first one month on-line certificate course on Medical Education Technologies(22 June-20 August, 2020). Renowned medical faculty members are providing training on newer medical education technologies to faculty members. Participants will get a certificate after the assessment.
During COVID-19 pandemic, AIIMS Raipur and other medical education institutions have suspended physical teaching. Now, senior faculty members are focusing on Medical Education Technologies with emphasis on on-line protocols. With this in view, the MEU has started the course which was initially planned for the faculty of AIIMS, Raipur and of Chhattisgarh but has gradually expanded for the entire country with 126 registered medical teachers and more than 12 faculties as per the Medical Council of India norms.
It is necessary for the medical teachers to be trained in education science technology. This has been made mandatory by MCI. Keeping this in view and with the vision of AIIMS Raipur, with the efforts and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Nitin M. Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS, Raipur, the Medical Education Unit chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Alok C. Agrawal and Dr. Avinash Ingle, Member Secretary planned the outline of this one month on-line certification course.
The other experts for this training include Dr. Geetanjali Batmanabane, Director, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, Dr. J. Jayprakash, Chairman, MEU from JIPMER, Pondicherry and AIIMS Raipur faculty members including Dr. Nitin Gaikwad, Dr. Ramananj Sinha, Dr. Manisha B. Sinha, Dr. Meenakshi Sinha, Dr. Rachita Nanda, Dr. Padma Das, Dr. Sarita Agrawal and Dr. Krishnadutt Chawli.
During the on-line session, Dr. Geetanjali Batmanabane, Director, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar taught the medical teachers the intricacies of Lesson Planning. This on-line session was chaired by Prof. Nagarkar and co-ordinated by Prof. Agrawal along with the whole medical education unit. As an online certificate will be issued to all the online learners, the course encompasses the entire compulsory Pre-test, daily feedback and the final assessment by post-test.
