NSUI stages demo in RSU, demands online exams

Raipur, Mar 12: Students of Pt Ravishankar Shukla University Raipur on Friday staged demonstration at the university premises under the banner of National Students Union of India (NSUI) to press demand for conducting online examinations. According to them the students will face inconvenience in appearing examinations offline due to COVID situation. Students said that they could not study properly due to Coronavirus infection. According to them offline examinations will raise risk of Coronavirus infection. Pt Ravishankar Shukla University has postponed the first semester examinations till further orders. Cases of Coronavirus infection in Chhattisgarh is on the rise. Keeping this in mind, the university has postponed the exams till further orders. All first semester examinations in the university have been postponed with immediate effect. On graduation level BA, BSc, BCom and other courses will now have a question paper of 90 marks instead of 100. According to information internal assessment will carry 10 marks.
This time the evaluation will be done on the changed pattern. In such a situation, students who go college regularly will get the benefit of 10 marks. In colleges too 10 marks of internal assessment will be given. The new system will be implemented from the upcoming semester examination itself.
