New Major OT inaugurated in District Hospital
Bhilai, Feb 23: New Major Operation Theatre was inaugurated on Tuesday in the District Hospital. Immediately after the inauguration four operations were also performed in this OT. The first surgery performed successfully in the new OT was that of a 19-year-old girl, followed by 3 other cases. This surgery was performed by Dr Sarita Minj.
It is noteworthy that last week Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure had given instructions to the concerned officers to start a new Major OT in the district hospital, which was inaugurated on Tuesday. The OT has been designed in accordance to the requirements and protocol for surgery. OT was inaugurated by Civil Surgeon Dr P Balkishore. This major OT is equipped with facility for conducting both general surgery as well as orthopedic surgery.
Dr Akhilesh Yadav RMO, Dr Sanjay Balavandre Anesthetist, Dr BR Sahu, Dr Mamta Pandey Gynecologist, Dr RK Nayak, Dr Swamidev Bhupendra Orthopedic Specialist, Dilip Thakur JDS Member, Arun Pawar Hospital Consultant, GP Upadhyay, Matron L Khan, Shobhana Kumar OT Incharge, Sister Shiney Cherian Staff Nurse, Prahlada Nayak and other members were present.
