
District Admn announces complete lockdown from September 21 evening to September 28
Raipur, Sept 19:
Amidst huge increase in the Covid 19 cases in the city, the District Administration on Saturday announced lockdown in Raipur District from September 21 evening to September 28 evening during which strict measures would be taken to ensure complete lockdown. Neither grocery nor the vegetable market would remain open during the above lockdown.
Above decision was taken at the high-level meeting held under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr S Bharatidashan with senior officials of District Administration here on Saturday afternoon. Prior to it, the traders were also taken into confidence over the lockdown. Entire District has been declared Containment Zone which allowed the District Administration to announce week-long lockdown.
Only medical shops and petrol pumps would remain as per the scheduled time whereas milk parlour too would be allowed to function for one and half hour in morning as well as evening. Similarly, the supply of LPG cylinder too would be allowed during the above lockdown.
However, the Sunday lockdown has been relaxed and most of the shops would remain open for next two days to allow the people to collect the essential items and groceries for a week.
