Need to promote indigenous products for making country ‘self reliant’

Bhilai, Feb 28: Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS), Bhilai – Durg Chapter organised a symposium on the topic “AtmaNirbhar Bharat – Sammanyukt Bharat” at Siyan Sadan in Nehru Nagar. Member of Parliament Vijay Baghel graced the event as chief guest. FANS Organisational General Secretary (New Delhi) Golok Bihari Rai was the keynote speaker while Former Vice Chancellor (Durg University) NP Dixit, Former Mayor Nirmala Yadav, former Minorities Commission Chairman Surendra Singh Kembo and KK Singhal were present as special guests.
At the outset, programme began with lighting the ceremonial lamp and welcome of the guests. Delivering the keynote address, Golok Bihari Rai stated that Government of India is making significant efforts to attain self reliance for the country. Sufficient funds have been allocated to promote Swadeshi and create a better market for the local products. There is a need to start production of several other consumables for curtailing the dependency on China and other foreign countries. Our country has to produce all the consumables and products to meet the domestic demands and make our country “self reliant”.
In his address, MP Vijay Baghel spoke about the schemes, programmes and initiatives of Union Government to fulfil the dream of AtmaNirbhar Bharat. He added that Modi Government is spending huge amount to promote the local industries and markets for indigenous products. However the opposition parties are still involved in leg pulling and are not supporting the government in its ventures. Baghel congratulated the organisers for holding the symposium on such a significant subject in Steel City. He appreciated the efforts of FANS President VN Pandey, Convenor Anil Daga and Mithila Khichariya.
Philanthropist and Founder President of Vaishya Welfare Gaushala and Naturopathy Education Society, Umesh Chitlangya spoke about how Naturopathy can lead to self reliance. Former Mayor Nirmala Yadav, Former Vice Chancellor NP Dixit, Former Minorities Commission Chairman Surendra Singh Kembo, Kamal Singh Rathore, Retired ED (BSP) KK Singhal, AB Purang, SK Gupta and others also addressed the gathering. Suman Kannoje and Sandhya Srivastava compeered the programme. President VN Singh delivered the welcome address while Mithila Khichariya proposed the vote of thanks. Anita Daga, Sudhi Dixit, RK Bhalla, Jitendra Singh, Ajay Shukla, SP Shobhna, Col PP Bhalla, ShankarlalDewangan, Jai Prakash Yadav, Archana Dasgupta, SK Gupta, Dr Raksha Singh, Vijay Srivastava and others were present.
