Nearly 3500 participate on first day of army recruitment rally

Bhilai, Mar 03: On the first day of the Army Recruitment Rally being organised at Pt Ravishankar Stadium in Durg, nearly three thousand five hundred candidates presented for test. Around 2000 youth qualified in the pre-height test. In the run that followed around 270 candidates qualified. The first day of the recruitment rally was successfully conducted under the supervision of Col S Ramesh, SM, Army Recruitment.
The district Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure also reached the recruitment site to inspect the facilities being made available at the site. He instructed the officers to continuously monitor the facilities required for the candidates. He said that helpline numbers have been made available for the convenience of the candidates. He said immediate help should be ensured to those who call for help on these helpline numbers. Proper cleanliness and sanitation should be maintained at the accommodation that have been provided to the candidates arriving from other districts. Necessary instructions were also given for taking care of the food and drinking water. Additional Collector BB Panchabhai, SDM Khemlal Verma and Deputy Director (Janshakti Niyojan) Rajkumar Kurre, Major Suleman Hussain were also present during the inspection.
It is noteworthy that during the army recruitment, the participants were initially kept in the marshalling area. Then they were taken to the recruitment site. Also, for the convenience of the candidates flex have been installed at various places in the city and information has been given about the stay of the candidates through social media and various mediums. Kurre informed that the duty of officers has been imposed in the control room, who are constantly giving the necessary information to the candidates.
