Bilaspur, Jun 01: Governor of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Mrs. Anandiben Patel on Saturday attended the national convention of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI), Bilaspur Branch held in Bilaspur. On the occasion, she said that CA professionals play an important role in country’s economy. More women should opt for contributing towards the economy of the country as CA professionals. Women are experts in managing household chores skillfully. New Finance Minister appointed for the country is also a woman. We expect more girls and women to pursue the field of CA.
Governor said that whether it is a big business house or small enterprise, nowadays even in government organizations, Chartered Accountants have an important role to play. CA is a field full of challenges and opportunities. They act as a consultant to the organizations for important financial decisions and issues. In current scenario, it is no exaggeration of say that Chartered Accountants are the financial advisors.
In her address to the workshop, Governor Mrs. Patel said that our country is emerging as one of the fastest developing economies of the world. And accountancy plays an important role in strengthening the economy of the country. I believe that empowered accountancy is a basic requirement for economic development of any country.
CA’s main responsibility is to ensure that the accounts and financial report presented by them is of high quality. Chartered Accountant is an auditor, an advisor and a consultant, who find solution to finance related problems, using their skills and knowledge. Such valuable services not only empower an organization, but also contribute to efficient finance management of the organization. Dedication of people associated with this profession is commendable. Governor said that it is a social responsibility of a CA to ensure transparency in financial matters of business establishments and hold them accountable for investment of citizens in the financial development. We should keep in mind that a major part of population in our country, and it is our responsibility as a community to bring them up to the level of respectable living standards. Takhatpur MLA Rashmi Ashish Singh and MLA Bilaspur Shailesh Pandey also addressed the workshop.
On the occasion, Leader of Opposition Dharam Lal Kaushik, Bilaspur MLA Shailesh Pandey, Takhatpur MLA Mrs. Rashmi Singh, SECL CMD AP Panda, CA Jai Chhaira, Central Council Members Anuj Goyal, Regional Council Chairman Mukesh Bansal, Chairman of Bilaspur Branch Sachendra Jain, Chairman Raipur Branch CP Bhatiya and CAs from various parts of Chhattisgarh and India attended this National Convention.
