More than 300 Corona warriors felicitated

Arang, Aug 18: More than 300 corona warriors were felicitated, under the aegis of District Health Employee Union and Horizon Hospital, in a ceremony held here in Arang Community Health Centre. The corona warriors felicitated were from the health, media police and other frontline departments, which fought uniformly in curbing the pandemic.
The chief guest of the program was Dr. Meera Baghel CMHO Raipur, Dr. KS Rai BMO Arang, CEO Horizon hospital Dr. Shitij Diwedi and Dr. Pankaj Diwedi. Addressing the program, Dr Baghel hailed the corona warriors, and termed them as true fighters as without them it was impossible road to travel, in controlling the pandemic.
The sacrifices made by all warriors in tackling corona is a part of huge social responsibility, of which many warriors lost their own lives in fighting the pandemic, she said. Dr. Diwedi, also addressing the program, said that as patients were left in the hospital premises by their immediate relatives, the services rendered by the staff and other members of the health fraternity is worth a mention. Hours of service within air proof PPE kits is a mountainous job he said. All guests were presented with mementoes and felicitated.
