Koriya, Apr 13: For the prevention and treatment of corona infection, here, under the guidance of District Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh, a mock-drill was done at Exclusive Covid Treatment Hospital, Kanchanpur, and District Headquarters Baikunthpur. Under the mock-drill, the availability and functionality of the health facilities available in the Hospital were tested by the health staff, apart from the functioning of medical equipments, ventilators, multi-paramonitor oxygen concentrator being tested.
All medical staff including Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. RS Sengar, DPM Dr. Prince Jaiswal was present. As per information, a total of 402 beds are available in various institutions for Covid management in the district, in which 29 for ICU, 9 for HDU, 165 with oxygen in addition to ICU and HDU, 199 normal beds are included. Also, 12 out of 29 ICU beds are available for children, along with this, 78 oxygen concentrators and 110 pipelines are also available.
Adequate quantity of equipment is also ready in the district,which includes 25 ventilators for adults, 3 pediatric ventilators for children, 34 multi-parameters, 740 oxygen cylinders jumbo, 305 oxygen small cylinders, 65 oxygen concentrators. Oxygen generator plant has also been set up in Covid Hospital premises Baikunthpur, which has a capacity of 500 LPM.
