MMS NTPC Korba distributes ration packets to villagers

Korba, Aug 06: In a step to fulfil the daily kitchen requirement of associate villagers, Mahila Samiti, NTPC Korba in association with Corporate Social Responsibility Department distributes dry food grain packets in village Lotlota on 5th August 2021. In a simple function Smt Nivedita Basu, President, Maitri Mahila Samiti along with office bearers of ladies club distributed 437 ration packets.
It is pertinent to mention that besides electricity generation, during Covid pandemic, NTPC Korba has been taking various steps to help the society. All possible measures have been taken-up by NTPC Korba to give some respite to the nearby villagers from the curse of Covid pandemic. At the time of medical emergency NTPC Korba supported district administration with financial assistance, oxygen cylinder, pulse Oximeter and Covid preventive medicines. Besides other preventive measures like sanitization of township and nearby villages was also undertaken by NTPC. Basic need of life, that is food was also felt by Maitri Mahila Samiti, the ladies welfare wing of NTPC Korba and took the step to fulfil it by distributing dry food grain packets to the villagers. NTPC Korba aims to distribute 1200 food grain packets to villagers periodically.
Among others Smt. Geeta Ramprasad, Vice President, MMS, Smt. Shyamali Mishra, Vice President, Mamta Mohanty, Vice President, Rekha Shrivastava, General Secretary MMS, Smt Tanuja Mondal, Welfare secretary, Asha Barskr, Welfare Treasurer, representatives from CSR Dept and villagers were present.
