MLAs submit more than 750 questions for Winter Session

Raipur, Nov 27: Gearing up for the forthcoming Winter Session of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, the Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) from the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and others have submitted nearly 750 questions for the Question Hour session so far.
According to the information received, the MLAs have submitted 382 starred questions and 373 unstarred questions which would be taken up for discussion during the week-long session scheduled to begin from December 13 onwards. Officials confirmed that 755 questions have been received to Assembly Secretariat from the MLAs. Through these questions, the MLAs would grill the Treasury bench for five day till December 17.
Apart from it, MLAs have also submitted call attention notices to the Assembly Secretariat through which they would divert the attention of state government towards existing problems in their respective assembly segments. Similarly, the Legislative Party meet of all the opposition parties would be held early next month to chalk out strategy against the ruling Congress government during the five-day session.
Meanwhile, the ruling state government too would be presenting the Supplementary Budget for the current fiscal apart from few amendments Bills for the winter session.
