Masturi, May 30: Keeping in mind the agriculture work of farmers before monsoon, MLA Dr Krishnamurty Bandhi convened a meeting of all the managers and presidents of District Co-operative Societies of the block related to the Co-operative Department at the meeting hall of Janpad Panchayat. In the meeting, MLA Dr Krishnamurty Bandhi held talks about the storage of seeds, fertilizers, KCC distribution and other arrangements in the centre.
In the meeting a major issue came to fore that due to carelessness on part of Revenue Patwaris, the farmers are not getting map of B-1 Khasara and others and due to which farmers are in trouble.
Inspector RC Dhruv when asked question by the MLA was unable to give satisfactory reply and on which Dr Bandhi expressed his annoyance and asked to ensure stock of seeds, fertilizers in KCC distribution center and establish new sub-centre within 7 days. Dr Bandhi made it clear that the farmers of the region should not face any problems and if he receives any complaint then entire responsibility will be that of the Institution’s manager. He made it clear that the existing centre if it is far-away from the farmers, then another sub-centre should be opened. There should be platform and choultry at the Centre and if it is not there it should be informed well in advance, so that alternative arrangements can be done.
MLA was taken aback
The Samitis at the time of paddy purchase takes Rs 303 per acre in the name of drought relief insurance scheme and just last year itself the farmers just got Rs 9 to Rs 10 as insurance for the drought relief. On hearing about this the MLA was shocked. Similarly the MLA expressed annoyance over the presence of Presidents of Co-operative Samitis in favour of farmers, as there are total 25 co-operative societies in the lock and out of which just five presidents only were present and rest were absent.
In the coming days, agriculture work has to go on war-footing and in this co-operative samiti play an important role. But it is unfortunate that the ex-officio President of Co-operative Samiti did not find it important to be present in this meeting and did not discussed the issues or problems of farmers of the region.
The meeting was attended by CEO Dr Ajay Patel, and all other institution managers, speakers of Krishi Samitis, Ramangiri Goswami, Anita Vijay Gupta, Rajendra Rathore, Santosh Mishra, Dwarika Tandon, Hargovind Maheshwari, Vijay Anchal, Rakesh Gupta, Rajkumar Sahu, and
