Minimata showed the path of social harmony and development: Guru Rudrakumar

Raipur, Aug 13: Public Health Engineering and Village Industries Minister Guru Rudrakumar attended the 49th death anniversary program of Mamtamayi Minimata organized at Satnam Bhawan, Bhilai Sector-6 of Durg district today. The program was organized by Guru Ghasidas Seva Samiti. On this occasion, Minister Guru Rudra Kumar prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the entire human society by offering prayers to the Guru Gaddi located at the Gurudwara.
He said that the state of Chhattisgarh is progressing rapidly following the path of social harmony and development shown by Minimata ji, the first woman MP of Chhattisgarh. Minimata’s entire life has been a struggle for political and social upliftment. She is an example of female power. She will always be remembered for her innovation and women empowerment. Minister Guru Rudra Kumar paid homage to Minimata by garlanding her portrait. She has played an important role in the passage of the Prevention of Untouchability Act in Parliament, including eradication of social evils, untouchability, child marriage, poverty, dowry system.
On this occasion, Minister Guru Rudrakumar said that the rural economy is being strengthened through the ambitious scheme Narva Garva, Ghurva, Bari of the state government. Fast work is being done through this scheme for rural development. The government is taking big steps for basic facilities like health and drinking water. Special attention is being paid to the provision of pure drinking water in rural areas and infrastructure in the field of health. Villagers are being benefited by the expansion of health care. On this occasion, the representatives of the society put forth a major demand regarding social upliftment, which they assured to fulfill after considering them sympathetically. Minister Guru Rudra Kumar honored the meritorious students of the society by giving them a memento and a citation. During the program, Minister Guru Rudrakumar inaugurated the documentary film making of Minimata’s struggling life. Internationally acclaimed singer Mrs. Usha Barle will lend her voice in this film and the script of the documentary will be written by Mrs. H.M. Will remain cool. On this occasion the President of Guru Ghasidas Seva Samiti Bhilai Nagar, Mr. Santkumar Keskar, famous Chhattisgarhi film producer Mr. Mohan Sundrani, Guru Spokesperson Dr. M.K. Along with Kaushal, the princes of Sat Samaj and the people of Sat Samaj were present in large numbers.
