Mega cleanliness awareness drive on Jan 9

Raipur, Dec 11: Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) is going to conduct a mega cleanliness drive in the city on January 9, 2022 with the support of NGOs to make people aware of cleanliness. The decision was taken on the initiative of Mayor Aijaz Dhebar at a meeting held in RMC headquarters here on Saturday. Office bearers of more than 50 NGOs working in the field of sanitation attended the meeting. Emphasis was laid on making Raipur the cleanest city of country in Sanitation Survey 2022.
The meeting was attended by RMC health department president Nagbhushan Rao, MiC member Sunder Jogi, Additional Commissioner Sunil Chandravanshi, Deputy Commissioner Health, AK Haldar, Health Officer Vijay Pandey, Assistant Health Officer Dr Tripti Panigrahi and Swachh Bharat Mission Assistant Engineer Yogesh Kaddu. According to decision taken at the meeting Sanitation Rally would be taken out from Jaistambh Chowk to Shahid Bhagat Singh Chowk of Shankarnagar from 8 am on Sunday, 9th January 2022 with active participation of NGOs, educational institutions, religious groups, school and college students, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers to encourage people to take a pledge for making Raipur the number one clean city in Sanitation Survey of 2022.
