Medical camp organised on International Day of Older Persons

Bhilai, Oct 01: On the occasion of “International Day of Older Persons”, District Police organised a medical camp for the purpose of providing health facilities and benefits to the family members of the cops under the Samarpan Campaign.
Deputy Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police in (Durg) Badri Narayan Meena, Dr Akhilesh Yadav (HOD, RMO, Ortho, Consultant, District Hospital, Durg), Dr Sudhir Gangey (MD Medicine), Dr Preeti Gangey (Gynecologist), Dr Shobhit Sagar (Physiotherapist, B.P.T., M.P.T. England), Dr Swamidev Bhupendra (Ortho), Dr Rishabh (MD Medicine), Dr RK Diwan (Ophthalmologist) and Dr Kavita Bhagat (Eye Assistant Officer) were present. The event was organised while maintaining social distance among the elders involved in this campaign.
All the people used masks and sanitizers. The event was inaugurated by Deputy Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police (Durg) Badrinarayan Meena. He welcomed and greeted the elderly people with flowers and bouquets. Samarpan Abhiyaan nodal officer of the district, Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Sanjay Dhruv, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Anant Sahu, City Superintendent of Police (Durg) Jitendra Kumar Yadav, Subedar Trupti Singh Rajput and others were present.
All the senior citizens were warmly greeted and welcomed on behalf of the Durg Police by the Reserve Inspector, Durg. SSP Badrinarayan Meena welcomed all the people and thanked them for participating in this campaign.
About 200 family members of police officers/employees participated in the health camp organized at Reserve Centre, Durg and got health benefits after conducting health check-up. Deputy Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police (Durg) Badrinarayan Meena said that this campaign is being conducted with a humanitarian approach to provide complete security, assistance, convenience and respect to the seniors in the state. With the Samarpan campaign, District Police will continuously connect such seniors who are separated from their family and they need help.
All the senior citizens heartily appreciated this initiative by Durg Police. In this sequence other programs will also be organized under the guidance of SSP Durg. The team of doctors conducted health check-up of all the senior citizens and counselled them and also provided necessary medicines. The entire program was conducted by Subedar Trupti Singh Rajput and her team.
