Mayor inspects under construction SAGES building

Bhilai, Oct 18: Bhilai Mayor Neeraj Pal inspected Swami Atmanand Government English School (SAGES) at Shri Ram Chowk in Khursipar. He oversaw the construction work as per the drawing and design. Ekansh Banchor, MiC member and in-charge of the Public Works Department, was especially present during the inspection. The Mayor said that the construction work of the school building should be completed soon while maintaining expected quality. He inquired about the strength set for the Atmanand School and took stock of the important development works being done in the Khursipar area. It needs to be mentioned here that with the initiative of MLA Devendra Yadav and Mayor Neeraj Pal, a two storied building is being constructed in Swami Atmanand School premises at Shri Ram Chowk. Library, laboratory, principal room, staff room and 11 class rooms are being constructed. There will be separate toilets for boys and girls. The building is being constructed at a cost of Rs 1.19 crore. The entire structure of the building is completed and only a few works are left. Apart from this, tiles, plaster, putty, painting, electrification have been done in all the rooms in the old school building. Toilets, septic tanks and renovation of existing rooms have also been done. Seven new rooms have been constructed on the first floor. The work of four phases has been completed and the work of the last phase is in progress. Mayor has asked the officers to complete it at the earliest. It is worth mentioning that Municipal Commissioner Rohit Vyas had recently reviewed the progress of Atmanand School and he had given instructions to complete the works of the school at the earliest. Zone Commissioner Amitabh Sharma, Executive Engineer Sanjay Bagde, Assistant Engineer Akhilesh Chandrakar, Sub Engineers Nitesh Meshram and Chandrakant Sahu and others were present.
