Maintenance, repair works in full swing in Durg-Raipur NH service road

Raipur, Sep 26: The maintenance and repair of service road of Durg-Raipur National Highway are underway. Concrete is being filled in the potholes of service road and other maintenance works are in full swing in this service road of state’s important and busiest national highway. All works are being carried out till late night under the under the direction of the departmental officers, so that the traffic in the morning is not obstructed in any way due to the potholes that appeared due to rains.
Secretary Public Works Department Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi and Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure held a meeting of the officials of the National Highway and the construction agency. The agency has been clearly directed that the National Highway from Durg to Raipur is the most important road of the state with maximum traffic, where thousands of people move every day and that there should not be any delay in the works on this road. The officials directed the construction agency to appoint traffic marshals and carry out continuous repairs of the service road. NH officials are monitoring the road round the clock and the repair works are being carried expeditiously.
In order to provide relief to the citizens coming from Raipur to Durg, the work of filling concrete in the potholes of the service road of NH is going on continuously. Patch work is being done late at night and in the morning also. Continuous rains created potholes in the roads. Officials of the National Highway informed that traffic marshals had been appointed to help police in arranging and regulating the traffic.
The construction work of over bridge is also being done at a fast pace. Officials said that this work is being done day and night on a war footing and it is being monitored continuously. It is noteworthy that the work of Kumhari Over Bridge is to be completed by October 15 for the movement of small vehicles and by November 15 for large vehicles.
