Mahila Mandal takes initiative to tie nuptial knot

Rajnandgaon, Mar 16:
Mahila Mandal of city’s Kanchanbagh area got marriage of three orphan girls as per rituals with three boys from their caste and those who had come in the ‘barat’ were accorded warm welcome and offered lunch.
In this ‘Mahila Mandal’ also provided the house-hold items required after the marriage to newly wedded couples. In this ideal marriage, Chairperson Social Welfare Board Shobha Soni took part and hailed the initiatives taken by Mahila Mandal in this direction.
The newly wedded couples said that they are without mother and father and due to which they legged behind in education and attaining good health. But today the members of Mahila Mandal by getting their marriage in the same caste have fulfilled their dreams of leading a secure life.
Marriage ceremony was performed as per rituals and in this ‘baratis’ were welcomed, offered snacks and food and later all the three girls were bid touching farewell along with necessary household goods. Mahila Mandal provided a homely atmosphere to all the three girls and during which they never felt the shortage of their mother and father.
On the other, the bride-grooms said that in this ideal marriage, where the women from Mahila Mandal got their marriage just like any other mother and father and they even saved a lot of unnecessary expenditure done in marriage these days.
It is notable that Mahila Mandal at Kanchanbagh started their work style in 2010 and indulging in all social, cultural and religious activities, even took care of children, providing them education and other facilities and credit for all this goes to members of Mahila Mandal.
