Maghi Punni Mela in Prayag Rajim from today

Raipur, Feb 26: The Maghi Punni fair in Rajim, known as Prayag of Chhattisgarh, will start from February 27 and continue till Mahashivratri on March 11. The preparations of Rajim Maghi Punni Mela, starting on February 27, in the famous pilgrimage Rajim of Chhattisgarh situated at Triveni Sangam were reviewed by Minister of Religion and Minister in-charge of Gariaband district, Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu.There will be a special festival for Triveni Sangam bath on February 27 Magh Purnima, March 6, Janaki Jayanti and March 11 Mahashivratri. The fair will be inaugurated on February 27 at 5 pm by the Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, Dr. Charandas Mahant. The inauguration ceremony will be chaired by Religious Trust and Religion Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu. As a special guest on this occasion, the Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, T.S. Singhdeo, School Education Minister Dr. Premasay Singh Tekam, Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Culture Minister Mr. Amarjit Bhagat, Leader of the Assembly, Dharamlal Kaushik, Lok Sabha MP Mr. Chunnilal Sahu and Mr. Sunil Soni, Parliamentary Secretary, Vikas Upadhyay, Chintamani Maharaj and Kunwar Singh Nishad, MLAs Sarvashri Dhanendra Sahu, Amitesh Shukla, Damrudhar Pujari, Ajay Chandrakar and Mrs. Lakshmi Dhruv will be present.
