Leadership programme on Safety organised for BSP Executives

Bhilai, Nov 27: A Leadership Programme on Safety for Executives from SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant was organised from November 19 to 21, 2020. Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) has embarked upon a two-year Safety Culture Enhancement project. The assignment is being carried out by a Consortium comprising SWASYA Solutions (Consortium Leader) and INGENERO Technologies (Consortium Member). This project will include multiple training programs, coaching and learning projects.
As part of this project, the first 3-day Leadership Program was inaugurated by Rajeev Sehgal (Executive Director – Works) in the presence of GP Singh (Acting CGM – Safety and Fire Services) and T Premanand (CEO – SWASYA Solutions) on November 19, 2020. Rajeev Sehgal, ED (Works) spoke about BSP’s commitment to Safety and the involvement of the Senior Leadership Team in the safety culture enhancement journey. He asked the participants to be fully engaged in the training program and come with action plans, which they will implement to enhance and sustain the Safety Culture at BSP, leading to zero accidents.
At the outset, GP Singh welcomed the dignitaries and the participants. He spoke about the diagnostic study phase of the project, which has just been completed and further initiatives which have been planned. Premanand (CEO – SWASYA Solutions) thanked the ED (Works) for gracing the occasion and providing overall leadership and direction for the project. He then gave an overview of the workshop content for the duration of three days. He also emphasised the importance of Leadership in building a strong Safety Culture.
