Khairagarh, Jun 23:
The lawyers and advocates annoyed over lack of work in the court and no hearing into any cases for last almost three months staged a protest here on Thursday.
It is notable here that with the opening of lockdown after a long time break in the District Court Khairagarh, the annoyed advocates and office-bearers of District Bar Association and its members staged token protest sitting outside the court premises here on Thursday.
Annoyed over the behaviour of the judges posting over dilly-delaying of cases and not conducting a hearing into long-pending cases, they staged a protest. Prior to this dharna-protest, the members of the District Bar Association held a meeting in the courtroom office and then decided to stage stiff protest. After the protest, they forwarded the copy of the list of their resolutions passed to the District Judge Rajnandgaon and Bar Association Bilaspur.
In the list of the resolutions passed, the Bar members informed that even after presenting the application seeking order copy of bail by the judges, they are not being provided with the same. On top of this, the judges in the District Court are not present in the court on a daily basis and due to which the advocates, lawyers and their parties have to face a lot of inconveniences.
Court premises locked, judges do not come on time:
The lawyers and advocates staging protest informed that daily at around 2:00 pm the main door of court premises is locked and due to which majority of lawyers and advocates are made to wander out in the open sun. President District Bar Association Prakash Singh Rajput and Vice President Manrakhan Dewangan citing about grievances of lawyers said that in cases of compensation for accidental cases, even after depositing of the amount by the insurance company, the judges are not issuing compensation order in favour of the party. Even after the opening of the court, the lawyers are not happy with the behaviour and working system and due to which there is a great deal of resentment among the members of DBA Khairagarh.
