Kumhari flyover to open for two-wheelers within 15 days!

Bhilai, Oct 14: Due to rains in the month of September, the road construction / rolling work was interrupted at the flyovers site in Kumhari. As per the earlier time frame, the flyover was to be opened for two-wheelers by October 15.
But the authorities failed in completing the task and now they are asserting that the work is being conducted in a fast pace and the flyover is likely to be opened for small vehicles in the next 15 days.
The work of flyover at Kumhari on Raipur – Durg national highway is in progress. It was to be started for the movement of small vehicles by October 15. Due to incessant rain in the month of September, the work of rolling complexion got disrupted, due to which there was some stagnation in the work.
Now this work is going on at a fast pace. NH officials said that the work for the approach of the bridge is being done in two shifts. Within fifteen days, this route will be ready for vehicular movement. The service road on the left side of Kumhari flyover was damaged which has been re-carpeted.
With this, the traffic jam situation has been avoided to a great extent at Kumhari. In a day or two, the repair work and re-carpeting on the service road of Dabrapara and Power House will also commence. This work is expected to be completed within a week.
It is noteworthy that in view of the convenience of the citizens, instructions were given by Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure to the construction agency to complete the work at the earliest. This flyover is being constructed round the clock.
