A native of Kollam in Kerala, Justin Fernandez, hailed from humble background unlike many of his classmates right from school to IIM.
But this had been the situation right from his school days.
Thus even as the family found it difficult to make ends meets, Justin was determined to never give up and it is recently that he has bagged job offer from Hyderabad-based Value Labs with pay package of Rs 19 lakhs.
He has been offered associate director’s job at the firm.
This makes Justin amongst those who have secured post and pay, both highest, that has been offered to any IIM-N student.
He came from background where in his family was traditionally in tailoring business before becoming a victim of industrialization.
When income stopped, the family would depend on government subsidies to fulfil their needs.
It was then that the family began depending all the more on education.
Once Justin qualified for BTech from Government College of Engineering at Trivandrum, scholarships helped him cover his expenses.
Before joining IIM-N, he worked with a software firm over two years.
