On Project Management & Work-life balance in the IT Industry

School of Engineering and Research, ITM University Raipur organized an expert session on Project Management and Work-life balance in the IT Industry on Thursday at the university campus. The Assistant Vice President of Barclays, New Jersey USA Brijesh Mishra graced the program as the expert speaker. Vice Chancellor of ITM University Professor Dr. Sumer importance of the session topic for young university students. Addressing the students and faculty members, guest Speaker Brijesh Mishra shared his industry-related experience and presented a real view of the workplace. He guided students on how Project Management plays a vital role in resolving real-life problems, citing examples from working models of the industry. Students were also made aware of the ten knowledge areas of Project Management: Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Resource, Communication, Risk, Procurement, and Stakeholder.
Brijesh Mishra also spoke about work-life balance and advised students on maintaining healthy habits, and diet, setting goals, and priorities, and how it helps in developing productivity and efficiency. He addressed a question about the ongoing IT industry recession, stating that it is a part of every industry, and freshers should focus on developing retention and creativity.
With years of experience in software development and test lifecycle, Brijesh Mishra further emphasized that happiness and work satisfaction matter. The program was well-coordinated by Dr. Nitin Jaiswal and Dr. Mohit Sahu while hosted by Prof. Jyoti Singh. students at the university. The session provided valuable insights to B. Tech, BCA, MCA, and B. Arch students and faculty members, equipping them with knowledge and skills relevant to the IT industry.
