IPL: Gujarat Titans defeat Chennai Super Kings by 3 wickets in Pune

In IPL Cricket, David Miller’s unbeaten half-century and Rashid Khan’s quick knock helped the Gujarat Titans in defeating the Chennai Super Kings by 3 wickets at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune last night. David Miller’s sensational knock of unbeaten 94 was well accompanied by stand-in captain Rashid Khan’s quick innings of 40 as Gujarat Titans chased the target of 170 with a ball to spare for the loss of 7 wickets.

David Miller was declared Player of the Match. This is the fifth win in six games for Gujarat Titans, while the fifth loss in six games for the Chennai Super Kings. Gujarat Titans are currently on the top of the Indian Premier League 2022 table with 10 points while CSK are just above winless Mumbai Indians.

Earlier, the Gujarat Titans had won the toss and opted to bowl. Batting first, the Chennai Super Kings post a defendable total of 169 for 5 in the stipulated 20 overs. For the Gujarat Titans, Alzarri Joseph bagged two wickets while Mohammed Shami and Yash Dayal scalped one wicket each. In an earlier match, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Punjab Kings by seven wickets at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai yesterday. Chasing a target of 152 runs, Sunrisers Hyderabad achieved it in 18.5 overs. Put into bat, Punjab Kings were all out scoring 151 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.

Today, Rajasthan Royals will take on Kolkata Knight Riders at 7:30 pm at Brabourne stadium in Mumbai.
