Raipur, Sep 26: Secretary, School Education Department, Dr Kamalpreet Singh has directed the Collectors and District Education Officers (DEOs) to take necessary action immediately regarding the dilapidated school buildings in the state. According to School Education Department school buildings in several places are in dilapidated condition which caused danger to the children and teachers in rain and other circumstances. The department instructed to take immediate action to this direction.
Collectors and DEOs have been instructed to conduct inspection of such dilapidated school buildings through the concerned construction maintenance agency. Repair works should be done immediately with the available departmental fund and other local funds. Instructions were also given to demolish the dilapidated buildings which are not repairable so that students and teachers do not suffer any kind of loss due to use of such buildings.
