Innovation Day Celebration at Amity University Chhattisgarh

Kharora: ‘Innovation Day’ is being celebrated at Amity University Chhattisgarh(AUC). To commemorate the birthday of Chairman of AUC Dr. Aseem Chouhan as mark of spirit of innovation and showcase innovative practices at different Amity campuses on his birthday. Dr. Aseem Chouhan who is popularly known and fondly called as C6 Sir has been a constant source of inspiration for innovation and creativity.
Apart from him, Mr. Ramanan Ramanathan, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission, Addl. Secretary of NITI Aayog, Govt. of India has graced the occasion as guest of honor while Hon’ble (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, RBEF along with Founder President of Amity Group of Universities Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, and Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. W. Selvamurthy and VC AUC Prof. Rajendra Kumar Pandey were also present.
At the outset, a Havan was organized, thereafter the virtual lighting of lamp and Saraswati Vandana were performed. An online birthday video wishes to Hon’ble C6 Sir was being played on the webex platform. In the welcome address by Ho’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Pandey who shed lights on India’s national culture of creativity as it had been evident in many architectural and urban planning in ancient India. Moreover, in sync with Atmanirvar Bharat and Innovation, the students of Amity Raipur are needed to blend both their passion with profession to remain in centre stage of excitement . On this occasion, Mrs. Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, RBEF hailed the efforts of Amity International schools both inside and outside India who have been nurturing both traditionality and modernity among students thereby helping the students to open the door to progress. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ramanan Ramanathan, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission, Addl. Secetary of NITI Aayog, Govt. of India has highlighted on the Atma Nirbhar India which seeks to achieve self-reliance thereby developing “New India” based upon innovation and incubations. He complimented the role of the group of Amity Universities in general and Amity University Raipur in particular, in partnering innovation and incubation thrust of Artma Nirbhar India.
Afterward, research ideas were presented by various research scholar. Thereafter startups-innovation idea was presented by Mr. Satwik Pradhan of BTech CSE. At the end, Ms. Sakshi Tiwari alumni of AUC (MBA 2015-17 Batch) who is working as manager communication, Rainbow Homes Program spoken on the student friendly and research driven atmosphere of AUC. The moderation of the inaugural session of innovation programme was done by Ms. Reecha Sahu and Ms. Sameera Khan. Later on online innovative activities were organized to help students to speak their minds on various innovation and creative quests they have been pursuing. In this online innovation day, officials and staff were present all through the day.
