Indoor Stadium be named after Late Rajiv Gandhi, demands Devendra Yadav

Bhilai, Aug 19: On the efforts of Devendra Yadav, MLA Bhilai Nagar, the first international indoor stadium has been prepared in Khusrsipar area. The MLA Devendra Yadav has demanded that the stadium be named after the former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi. Devendra has written a letter in this regard to the District Collector.
He mentioned in the letter that August 20 is the Birth Anniversary of Late Rajiv Gandhi and this opportunity should be taken to name the stadium after him. Devendra stated we are working continuously keeping in mind the interests of the people and all sections of the society.
In this sequel only, the dream of building an indoor stadium in Khursipar is going to be fulfilled soon, he said and added that the stadium and the auditorium have been constructed at a cost of about Rs 3 crores. Along with the 100 seater auditorium there will be 02 badminton court with state of the art wooden flooring, 01 squash room again with wooden flooring, 03 table tennis court, carrom room will have three boards, the chess room has 6 tables and then there is a hall for meeting and teaching.
As August 20 is the birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, the stadium should be named after him, he reiterated. With this, players will get better sports training and education related to it. Prospective players will practice their game.
They will not need to go to the township area for this. This stadium will be very helpful in building the future of the players.
