India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crosses 161 crore five lakh mark; Over four crore children age 15 and 18 years vaccinated
India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 161 crore five lakh mark. The Union Health Ministry said, more than 58 lakh Vaccine Doses were administered till 7 pm yesterday. Over 74 lakh Precaution doses for the identified categories of beneficiaries for COVID vaccination have been administered so far. In the age group of 15 to 18 years old, more than four crore five lakh vaccine doses have been administered so far as first dose.
Over four crore children between the age group of 15 and 18 years have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in 19 days.
Highlighting the fast pace of vaccination of children, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that young India is contributing significantly towards further strengthening the nation’s fight against the pandemic.
