Raipur, Mar 08: Incubation centers will be opened in engineering colleges in Chhattisgarh. This information was given at the one-day district level workshop of the Entrepreneurship in Rajiv Gandhi Government Postgraduate College, Ambikapur. Chief Guest Panchayat and Rural Development Minister T.S. Singhdeo inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp in the presence of Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma and School Education Minister Dr. Premasai Singh Tekam. The workshop was attended by industrialists from Surguja, Surajpur and Balrampur-Ramanujganj districts, prospective entrepreneurs and students of College of Engineering, Polytechnic College and Agricultural College. Addressing the workshop, Minister Singhdev said that Surguja region is an area covered with minerals and forests. Establishment of industrial units on the basis of mineral resources, forest produce and agricultural produce will provide encouragement to local entrepreneurs and employment to people. He said that no society can reach the destination by moving forward until it adopts industries to a certain extent. In order to promote industrialization and facilitate entrepreneurs in Chhattisgarh, a new industry policy 2019 has been formulated. To formulate this policy, suggestions were taken from industrialists in several cities of the state after the conference. Under this policy, if the industrialist invests Rs 100 capital in tribal areas, then the government will provide Rs 150 assistance. He said that no industrialist is generally interested in setting up his unit far away from the city as he needs convenience. Keeping these things in mind, we will have to make traffic and other materials accessible in rural areas. For this, raw material should be available nearby and there should be a better market for the product so that the goods can be supplied quickly. Highlighting the purpose of the workshop, Collector Sanjeev Kumar Jha said that industrial atmosphere is to be created in Surguja from this workshop. He said that the present entrepreneurs and departmental officers should communicate with each other to share their problems, suggestions and ideas.
