Immense possibilities of capital investment in Ch’garh : CM

Raipur, Sep 03: Global Investors Meet 2022 ‘Investgarh Chhattisgarh’ will be organized in Nava Raipur in January-February 2022, to attract global investment in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel made the formal announcement for Global Investors Meet 2022 at the inaugural function of ‘Investgarh Chhattisgarh Project’ held at his residence office today. On the occasion, Mr. Baghel also launched the logo and website of Investgarh-Chhattisgarh.
While addressing the inaugural programme, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that Chhattisgarh has immense scope of industrial development and capital investment. State Government has formulated new industry-friendly policy. To attract maximum investment in the state, Chhattisgarh Government has reduced the rates of allotted lands by 30% and lease rent rates by 1%. Besides, the process of industrial land free hold and partial transfer has also been simplified. Along with establishment of single-window for industries, State Government has taken several steps to provide various concessions, special packages and transport subsidy. Informing about the benefits of investment in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister said that besides the incentives provided by state government, Chhattisgarh offers various advantages such as good transport system, law and order, sufficient water-supply, easy access to major markets of the country, low cost of production etc to the industries.. He said that despite the COVID crisis, Chhattisgarh’s economy remained dynamic and various economic activities including Chhattisgarh were continued with precautions.
On this occasion, Industries Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrat Sahu, Principal Secretary Industries Department Mr. Manoj Kumar Pingua, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation Managing Director Mr. Arun Prasad, Industries Director of the department Mr. Anil Tuteja were also present. The event was virtually attended by representatives of various investor communities from countries like Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, London, USA, Dubai, Egypt etc.
Global Investors Meet 2022 is being organized by Chhattisgarh Commerce and Industry Department under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. State Government has set the target to attract global investment of more than 50 billion dollars to the state through ‘Investgarh Chhattisgarh’.
Global Investors Meet, 2022, the event to be held in Naya Raipur, will be hosted by International level Consultancy firm M/s EduVision India Private Limited brand name ‘WEXPOINDIA’. Today, in the inaugural program of the project, Chhattisgarh Government signed an MoU with ‘WEXPOINDIA’. The consultancy firm M/s Eduvision India Private Limited, has spearheaded several high profile projects before. The firm has also worked with the World Bank and the Government of Telangana. A detailed project plan has been prepared by ‘WEXPOINDIA’ for organizing ‘Investgarh Chhattisgarh’ event. The entire cost of the project will be raised by the company through sponsors with the support of the government. Under the MoU, Chhattisgarh government will provide free venue to ‘WEXPOINDIA’ at Nava Raipur to organize the Global Investors’ Meet, 2022.
The total budget of the ‘Investgarh Chhattisgarh’ project has been proposed to be around Rs.107 crore.
Through this project, the target has been set to attract investment of 50 billion dollars in the state in a phased manner. Global Investors Meet will provide an opportunity to the world’s leading investor communities, companies, business leaders, state government officials, local industrialists to gather on a single platform, and this would also help the industrialists of the state. The event would give momentum to the industrial development and create more employment opportunities in the state.
