IIT Bhilai observes Hindi Diwas by taking oath

Raipur, Sep 16: Hindi Pakhwada will be celebrated at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai between September 14 to 28, with the objective of increasing the awareness of India’s official language Hindi and its progressive uses. Hindi Diwas is celebrated each year to commemorate the adoption of Hindi (written in Devanagari script) as one of the official languages of India.
On the occasion of this year’s Hindi Diwas, all the faculty members and employees of the institute took an oath to do their work in Hindi and remain loyal to Hindi.
The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by the Special Administrative Officer, Dr. Bijaya K. Panigrahy.
The oath was administered by the Assistant Registrar, Dr. Pravin Wararkar. To promote the use of Hindi language over the course of the fortnight ahead, poetry writing and recitation along with an essay writing competition and a Hindi quiz will be organized at the institute.
