IIIT-NR holds Alumni Meet 2021
Raipur, Nov 26: International Institute of Information Technology Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR) held its second Alumni meet on 26th November 2021 at the institute campus. The event was attended by many ex-students of batch 2016-20 and 2017-21 in the presence of Dr. Pradeep K. Sinha, Director IIIT Naya Raipur, Dr. RajarshiMahapatra(Dean Academics), Dr. P. P.Paltani (Dean Research), Dr. Santosh Kumar, Assistant Professor(Faculty In-Charge of Alumni Association), Dr.Vivek Tiwari (Head, DSAI), and Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Chaube (Head, Mathematics), Dr. Venkanna U. (Head, CSE) andother faculty members. The program began with a panel discussion on the topic “Campus to Career” chosen on the spot followed by the alumni sharing their experiences with the juniors. The seniors engaged in reminiscing the wonderful days spent at IIIT-NR campus, how they were guided by mentors and also narrated the stories of the struggles faced by them when they stepped out into the real world. Post this, the award for best thesis was given followed by a cultural performance by the students and dinner.
Adding to the above, KrutikaBapat, one of the top placed alumni of the 2016-20 batch, said, “The world outside is very competitive and harsh, so one should not only work on academics, but should try to be an all-rounder because every skill is essential for survival.”
Another alumnus DivyaKrishnani expressed her gratitude and said, “I want to thank my teachers for their guidance, which helped me get a good job. And I hope today we have been able to motivate our juniors to work harder and focus on their goal.
Dr. Pradeep K Sinha, Director IIIT Naya Raipur, said, “ I wish the alumnus good luck for all their future endeavours. Although the life outside college is rough and full of challenges, I am glad that our alumni are doing well because the institute prepared them for facing such challenges with ease. The institute’s motto “We do not prepare roads for our students, but we prepare them for roads ahead” is targeted towards this. I wish you all for a bright future”.
