Hospitals must ensure optimum utilization of their resources while treating COVID patients: CM

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today held an online interaction with the medical experts from across the state regarding prevention and control of COVID-19 crisis in the state, from his residence office in capital city Raipur. Chief Minister took important suggestions from the medical experts today.
He said that the people associated with health and medical sectors who are serving people on the field are important frontline workers. Meanwhile, he also appreciated the support extended by government and private medical institutions to the government. On the occasion, health Minister Mr. TS Singhdev, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrat Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary Mrs. Renu G Pillai, Secretary of Chief Minister Mr. Siddhartha Komal Singh Pardeshi, and Director Health and Family Welfare Mr. Neeraj Bansod were also present.
He said that currently, entire world is suffering from COVID-19 pandemic. Under these circumstances, we have huge expectations from people of health and medical fields. Mr. Baghel appreciated the doctors of the private hospitals who have been dedicatedly serving humanity. Despite the limited availability of equipment and resources, these doctors have kept up the battle against COVID-19. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Chhattisgarh is currently experiencing the second wave of COVID-19, and we are fighting this challenge with full force, utilizing all our resources and facilities. In the same sequence, health facilities in the state are being rapidly expanded, so as to provide immediate treatment facilities to the patients.
In his discussion with Medical Experts today, Chief Minister said that they should make best possible use of the resources available to them for providing immediate treatment to the patients. Mr. Baghel also talked about taking the necessary initiatives for providing medical equipment and facilities such as oxygen plants to the hospitals. In response to the demand of medical institutions for expansion of necessary medical facilities and trained staff etc, Mr. Baghel has assured of providing best possible assistance to them. In the context, Mr. Baghel directed Additional Chief Secretary Health and Additional Chief Secretary Home to provide the necessary facilities as soon as possible.
On the occasion, Health Minister Mr. TS Singhdeo said that Chief Minister Mr. Baghel is holding discussions with the people of various sections of the society to ensure prevention and control of COVID-19 in the state.
In the same sequence, an online interaction with the medical experts from 24 private medical institutions across the state was held today, wherein important suggestions were received. He requested all the medical experts to expand the medical facilities in their institutions further. Meanwhile, Dr Nitin M Nagarkar of AIIMS Raipur demanded expansion of facilities for vaccination, ICU and ventilator etc. Likewise, Dr. OP Sundarani from Mekahara, Dr. RP Mishra from Bilaspur, Dr. Amit Soni, Dr. Devesh, Dr. Ravi Shekhar, Dr. Subhash from Raigarh, Dr. Manoj Kumar and Dr. Pratik Kaushik from Durg, Dr. Ashish Mittal, Dr. AP Sawant, Dr. Abhishek Vajpayee from Ambikapur, Dr. Suraj Gupta from Dhamtari, Dr. Sandeep Patoda, Dr. S. Venkat Kumar from BALCO, Dr. Devendra Naik from Balaji Hospital Raipur, Dr. Sushil Sharma and Dr. Sushil Sharma from Dr. Medishine Hospital. Expert doctors like Shailendra Upadhyay, Dr. Naveen Sharma, Dr. Sunil Khemka and Dr. Sandeep Dave from Shri Ram Krishna Care Hospital participated in the discussion and gave their important suggestions.
