Honda launches all-new Amaze

Raipur, May 16: Honda Cars India on Wednesday launched the second-generation Amaze compact sedan at Shubh Honda, Raipur and at Geekay Honda, Raipur at a pan-India introductory starting price of Rs 5.59 lakh (ex showroom, Raipur).
The second generation of the compact sedan is built on an all new platform. The car is offered in four trims in manual transmission for petrol and diesel versions and two trims for automatic for both power trains. The petrol manual versions are priced at Rs 5.59-7.57 lakh while the two automatic variants are priced at Rs 7.39 lakh and Rs 7.99 lakh. The four manual diesel versions are priced between Rs 6.69-8.67 lakh while the two automatic variants are priced at Rs 8.39-8.99 lakh. The car is available in four variants — the base E, S, V and the top-spec VX — in both petrol and diesel version like before and there’s no change in the power trains either. The 90PS, 1.2-litre petrol claims to return 19.5kmpl for the manual and 19kmpl for the automatic variant, while the 100PS, 1.5-litre diesel claims a fuel efficiency of 27.4kmpl for the manual and 23.8kmpl for the automatic. On the inside, the car gets cruise control, paddle shift (only on petrol CVT), touch sensor entry, large infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also comes in five colour options. Bookings for the car has been open now at dealerships across the country at Rs 21,000. Prashant Mandhan, Director, Shubh Honda, Director said that we have received about 60 bookings of new Amaze. We have received 40 bookings prior to the launch at our showroom, said Punit Parwani, Director, Geekay Honda. On the occasion Sohan, Area Manager, Honda Cars India, Amar Parwani, Director, Geekay Honda and Tarachand Mandhan, Director, Shubh Honda was also present.
