Home Minister reviews departmental works

Raipur, Feb 05: Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu chaired a meeting of departmental officers at Mantralaya. He instructed to speed up the action being taken against irregular financial companies (chit funds) and return the money to investors in coordination with district collectors.
He asked for a regular review of cases filed against innocent tribals of 8 Naxal-affected districts of the state under the committee constituted under the chairmanship of retired judge Mr. Patnaik and to take action for withdrawal of cases.
The Home Minister also directed to expedite the withdrawal of political cases. He also asked the inspector to immediately submit a proposal for the pending case for promotion to 73 vacant posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police. Similarly, instructions were given to expedite the process of recruitment of sub-inspectors and constables. Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Subrat Sahoo, Secretary Arun Dev Gautam, Additional Director General of Police Himanshu Gupta, Director Public Prosecution, Pradeep Gupta, Deputy Inspector General of Police CID Mr. Sushil Dwivedi were present in the meeting.
