HMS stages demonstration; demand immediate wage revision

Bhilai, Mar 10: On Wednesday, Bhilai Shramik Sabha (HMS) staged aggressive demonstration at Boria Gate. The demonstration proved to be successful as the employees generously participated in it. Union President HS Mishra raised slogans to launch the demonstration.
He asked all the employees to raise strong voice which could reach to the SAIL Management and persuade them to settle the wage revision amicably.
Working President Prem Singh Chandel said that we are struggling for the right. He alleged that the management practices dual policy as the officers got upgraded scale and designation overnight but when it comes to employees, the management cries of loss and financial problem.
Deputy General Secretary Hariram Yadav said that this is a historic demonstration in which hundreds of employees are participating with flags and placards. Such demonstration is being witnessed for the first time after the implementation of ID Act. Thousands of employees parked their vehicles on the road to support the demonstration.
General Secretary Pramod Kumar Mishra said that the young employees have participated in this demonstration. They are pressing the demand of 15% MGB, 35% perk, 9% pension contribution and arrears to be paid from January 01, 2017.
Youth labor leader Ramkesh Meena appealed that the time has come when the young and senior employees have to come together for struggle. He added that the situation of the employees is worsening with every passing day. He added that the workmen will no longer tolerate exploitation.
Youth labor leader Pawan Deshwal said that if the management did not fulfil the demands even after such aggressive protests, the workers have the legal right to go on strike. Durgesh Kumar said that this is the beginning of the struggle.
If some decision is not taken in the next NJCS meeting, they will intensify the stir. Sunil Sharma emphasised on united efforts. Raju Shah said that the young employees have great hopes from the next NJCS meeting.
Emphasizing the unity of young employees, Ashok Maurya said that we have to fight now not only for ourselves but also for senior employees. Lallu Ram Meena said that the unity of senior and junior employees is seen today.
