HMS demands roaster system in entire BSP

Expressing concern over the rising cases of Covid-19 among employees of Bhilai Steel Plant, Bhilai Shramik Sabha (HMS) has demanded to implement roaster system in all the departments of BSP. Deputy General Secretary Ramkesh Meena said that Covid-19 is spreading fast among employees. BSP management has arranged Covid-19 testing facility at only one spot which is witnessing heavy rush of employees visiting here with symptoms. He demanded that another testing centre should be setup inside the plant to avoid crowd. Maintaining production of the plant is very necessary and hence it is the responsibility of management to protect the life of the employees from this epidemic. As large number of employees work at one place continuously in all three shifts, the infection among the employees is increasing. According to the information received, more than 20 employees have been infected in the Power and Blowing Station. Out of them an employee has been referred to Ramkrishna Hospital Raipur.
The employees of Power and Blowing Station staged demonstration leaving the workplace during 13:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs. Management must take immediate decisions otherwise maintaining production will become difficult.
