Guv for implementation of New Education Policy from next academic session

Raipur, Sept 29: Governor Anusuiya Uike on Wednesday directed the Vice Chancellors to take prompt action to implement the new Education Policy 2020 in Chhattisgarh. Presiding over the 27th meeting of University Co-ordinatioon Committee at Rajbhawan here as Chancellor Universities, the Governor Uike directed the Universities to prepare syllabus in accordance to the new education policy so that it could be implemented from the next academic session. Presiding over the meeting, she directed the authorities to establish a Cell for providing Carrier-related Guidance to the students during the studies so that they can select subjects as per their capabilities to get employment.
She said that Valuation of all the Colleges is essential through NAAC to improve the quality in Higher Education in Chhattisgarh. She further added that Placement Cell should also be constituted in all the Colleges. She asked the Vice Chancellors to make regular inspection of the Colleges and submit quarterly report related with the activities of their concern University. She further stated that Modal Education to students is essential in accordance to the new Education Policy which would be the foundation of a strong nation.
Present on the occasion, the Minister for Health & Family Welfare TS Singhdeo stressed on the need to create awareness related with health in rural areas through the students who are working as NSS Volunteers.
Minister for Higher Education Umesh Patel said that all essential arrangements are being made to ensure that NAAC valuation is being carried out in all the Colleges and added that the provision of e-Library too has been started for the students through which the students can access the study materials through the mobile.
Principal Secretary Ramkumar Tiwari, Governor’s Secretary Amrit Khalko, Health & Family Welfare Secretary Shahla Nigar and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
