Govt to procure goods through Ch’garh vendors

Cabinet approves proposal at meeting held under chair of CM Baghel

State Government has decided to procure goods for various government departments from the vendors of Chhattisgarh only. Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel gave approval to the proposal for amendment in Chhattisgarh Warehouse. In the same sequence, Cabinet approved the proposal for amendment of Chhattisgarh Government Stores Purchase Rules, 2020.
Several key decisions were taken by the State Cabinet meeting being organized on the occasion of two years of government formation. Cabinet also gave approval to the proposal seeking reorganization of Chhattisgarh State Farmers Welfare Council.
Cabinet has decided to revise the selling rate of vermicompost, produced under Godhan Nyay Yojana, from Rs 8/kg to Rs 10/kg.
Durg District Housing Committee Rajnandgaon (Mohan Nagar) has been granted permission to execute lease of allotted Nazul land.
Cabinet has approved the draft Indian Stamp (Chhattisgarh Amendment) Bill -2020.
Cabinet has also approved the proposal of Chhattisgarh Freight Control (Amendment) Bill 2020 for amendment in the Chhattisgarh Freight Control Act 2011.
Cabinet Sub-Committee would be constituted to amend Chhattisgarh Unauthorized Development Regularization Act 2002 and Chhattisgarh Unauthorized Development Regularization Rules, 2002. Cabinet would take decision regarding the proposed amendments after receiving recommendations of the committee.
Cabinet has decided to slacken the provisions of Chhattisgarh Immovable Property Transfer Rule 1994 under Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation Act 1956, to utilize the Municipal Corporations owned vacant buildings for City Diagnostic Center Scheme.
The draft Chhattisgarh Fiscal Accountability and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill 2020 was approved in the Cabinet meeting.
The draft of Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill-2020 was approved presentation in the Second Supplementary Estimation Year 2020-21 in Legislative Assembly.
Cabinet has decided to redevelop the dilapidated buildings in district headquarters and other major cities of the state. In the same sequence, consent in principle was given for the redevelopment plan of Shanti Nagar of Raipur.
With due terms and conditions, Cabinet has decided to allow Chhattisgarh Housing Board and Raipur Development Authority to free-hold commercial property under residential and residential / commercial plan on the government land allotted.
It was decided to amend the criteria (i) and (iv) of ‘E’ category under the integrated registration system in the construction works contracts of Chhattisgarh state. In the criteria (i), unemployed youth graduating from general areas would be registered, while higher secondary passed unemployed youth in scheduled areas will be registered under the E category.
Similarly, in criteria (iv), now E-category registration and competition will be limited to the block and municipal limits. The registration will be at the block level and the concerned municipal corporation area will also be considered as a unit for registration.
Cabinet approved the procedure of obtaining loan from banks / financial institutions to do the construction work by obtaining sovereign guarantee from the state government for Chhattisgarh Road and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited.
Cabinet also decided to increase / revise the service period of the remaining 69 contractual training officers in Industrial Training Institutes under Directorate of Employment and Training. Contract service of 235 contract training officers has been extended in the past.
