Govt forms panel of Empowered Group of Minister

For Re-development of govt buildings

Chhattisgarh Government has constituted a three member Empowered Group of Ministers for the Redevelopment of government buildings which are in shambles in major cities including the Raipur heaquarters.
According to the information received, the Cabinet Minister for Public Works Tamradhwaj Sahu, Housing & Environment Minister Md Akbar and Urban Administration & Development Minister Dr Shivkumar Daharia are the members of Empowered Group of Ministers.
According to the order issued here, the above Empowered Group of Ministers are authorized to take all decisions related with Redevelopment of all the government buildings in shambles.
It is notable that the Department of Public Works has already started the process of Redevelopment of its old PWD Office near Katora Talab behind the Saugaun Bungalow in Civil Lines area. PWD is working on mega project in place of the existing PWD Office which is situated in the heart of city.
It is understood that there are several old government buildings which are in very poor state and the most of the offices have now been shifted to Nava Raipur.
All these premises could be used for the Redevelopment for various projects including the commercial complexes in near future.
