Governor takes 2nd dose of COVID vaccine

Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey recieved the second dose of COVID vaccine today, at Covid-19 vaccination center of Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College. In her appeal to the people of Chhattisgarh, Governor said that every eligible individual should come forward to get vaccinated against COVID-19. She further said that after vaccination, body develops stronger immunity against COVID-19. But even after vaccination, it is important to take precautions and maintain COVID appropriate behavior such as wearing mask, handwash and physical distancing. The second dose of vaccine was administered to Governor Ms Anusuiya Uikey by Staff Nurse Mrs Sita Sahu. She was in the monitoring room for half an hour after vaccination. Dr Vishnu Dutt, the head of medical college, also gave the certificate of COVID vaccination to the Governor.
Governor Anusuiya Uikey congratulated Dr Vishnu Dutt and his entire team in Medical College Hospital Raipur for their dedicated efforts in the ongoing struggle against COVID-19. On this occasion, Dr Vinit Jain, Medical Superintendent of Ambedkar Hospital, Dr KK Sahara, Head of the Department of Anesthesia, Dr DP Lakra, Head of Department of Medicine and Dr Naresh Sahu, Assistant In-charge of Immunization were present.
