Government working for upliftment of all sections of the society: CM

Bhilai, Oct 21: On Wednesday, the Sahu Samaj honoured Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel during a gracious programme village Belhari of Durg district for the remarkable work being done by him for the upliftment and welfare of all sections of the society. Expressing gratitude to the people of Sahu Samaj, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that they are making efforts to ensure that people from all sections of the society get an opportunity to move forward. On the occasion, he congratulated the people and office bearers of Sahu Samaj. He inaugurated the community hall of Parishetriya Sahu Samaj which has been built at a cost of Rs 20 lakh in village Belhari.
Chief Minister said that the State Government is working for the benefit and economic prosperity of all the people of the society with prime focus on farmers, villagers and laborers. He said that under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the third instalment would be given to the farmers of the state on November 01. Chief Minister announced to beautify Belhari pond along with construction of aahata and bore well in the newly constructed community building of Sahu Samaj.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, in his remarks at the felicitation ceremony organized by the Sahu Samaj, said that they have introduced Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojna and Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojna to assist the farmers and laborers of the villages and make their life happy. Schemes for the welfare of workers have been started. He said that under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojna, the amount is transferred to the farmers at the time when they are in need of money for conducting agricultural activities. Funds are transferred at the time of commencement of the agricultural work, paddy sowing and harvesting so that the farmers carry out their activities comfortably. He urged the eligible people to file the application form by November 30 to avail the benefits of Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana and said that under this scheme landless families would be given an amount of Rs 6000 per year. He said that village Gauthans have been constructed under the Suraji Gaon Yojana. Rural Industrial Parks are being developed for the purpose of upgrading the Gauthans as production centers. Under Godhan Nyay Yojana, the state government is buying cow dung for Rs 2 per kg. Vermi compost is being produced and sold by women self-help groups in Gauthans. The production of organic manure has given a big boost to organic farming in the state. In the coming time, Chhattisgarh will be recognized as an organic farming state. Baghel said that the use of vermi compost improves the crop, reduces the cost, reduces the disease outbreak in the crops and increases the fertility of the land.
He further said that the Chhattisgarh government is working with the idea of the proper development in the villages. The work of generating electricity from cow dung has commenced in Gauthans of several villages including village Sikola of Durg district. Chief Minister Baghel added that Chhattisgarh model of rural development has become a hot topic of discussion across the nation. From the procurement of paddy, cow dung and forest produce to its processing and sale, the entire system is being appreciated in the country and abroad as well. He said that generic medicine shops have been opened under Shree Dhanwantri Yojna. People will get medicines at 50 to 70 percent lesser price. 79 types of herbal medicines produced in forests of Chhattisgarh will also be available in these shops.
Chief Minister said that the State Government has opened English medium schools in every block to improve the education sector. A campaign has been started to recruit youth in the government service in the state. Under this recruitment advertisements have been issued by various departments.
President of Pradesh Sahu Samaj, Arjun Hirwani said that the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is working continuously for the development of all the people of the society. He thanked the Chief Minister for providing proper representation to the Sahu Samaj in the state. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the Chhattisgarhi people have got representation in every field. This dream came true when Bhupesh Baghel became the Chief Minister. Other office bearers also addressed the program. IG Vivekanand Sinha, Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure and District President of Sahu Samaj Rajesh Kumar Sahu, Vice President Nandlal Sahu, Ramesh Sahu, Jayanti Sahu, along with office bearers and members of the Samaj were present.
