Gopal Khandelwal elected unopposed as CSA President

Sahee Ram Jakhar elected Secretary and Parminder Singh as Treasurer

Bhilai, Oct 16: Annual General Body Meeting of Chhattisgarh Swimming Association (CSA) was held at Supela on Sunday. The Association elected new office bearers for the term 2022-26 during this meeting. Gopal Khandelwal was once again elected unopposed as the President while Sahee Ram Jakhar was elected Secretary and Parminder Singh was elected Treasurer. Bansi Agrawal was elected Senior Vice President; Badri Prasad Gujar, Vishwajeet Nag, Dr Alok Dubey and Gaurav Khandelwal were elected Vice Presidents; Hemant Singh Parihar, Balram Bhoi, Mahesh Bisai and Suman Mutha were elected Joint Secretaries; SP Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Rajesh Sahu, Vijesh Shyamkar and Gopi Subash were elected Executive members of the Association.

Advocate Subhash Satpathi conducted the proceedings of the election as Returning Officer while CG Olympic Association Vice President Bashir Ahmad Khan was present as Assistant Returning Officer. The GBM also confirmed the minutes of last GBM, approved the audited statement of accounts for FY 2021-22, approved the budget estimate for FY 2022-23; appointed auditors for FY 2022-23 and finalised the Annual Sports Calendar for 2022-23. Discussion was held on promotion and development of swimming sports in Chhattisgarh. President Gopal Khandelwal and Secretary Sahee Ram Jakhar emphasised on the need of having a swimming pool in Bhilai for promotion of swimming sports. They detailed about the efforts made so far in this direction.

Additional Superintendent of Police UBS Chauhan; Retired DSP RK Joshi, Arun Dwivedi from Pradesh Judi Sangh, Chhattisgarh Swimming Association members Dr Anupam Lal, Gaurav Khandelwal, Sanjay Sharma and other dignitaries were present.
