Gang of notorious thieves busted; sharp weapons recovered

Bhilai, Oct 17: With the arrest of six ruffians including five notorious goons, police claimed to have busted a gang of thieves. Team of Jeora Sirsa Police Chowki chased and apprehended the gang members who were escaping after committing a crime. The victim Ramkumar Bagde of Chikhli made a distress call of Dial 112 after which the team of Jeora Sirsa Chowki and the staff of Emergency Response Vehicle responded immediately and reached the crime scene. They took the victim with them and chased the thieves who were trying to escape in a Maruti Van. The police team managed to rounded up and apprehend the six-member gang. Police recovered the stolen mobile phone, cash and other items from them. Sharp weapons and the Maruti Van used in the crime were also seized.
The accused are identified as Vikas Chouhan (32) of Durgapara, Supela; Deepak Bharti (25) of Padmanabhpur; Saddu Ali (24) of Diprapara, Durg; Gulam Kadar (19) of Diprapara; Rahul Kosre (30) of Risali and Mithlesh Pathak (39) of New Khursipar. They have been booked under the provisions mentioned in section 457, 380, 411, 34 of IPC and Section 25, 27 of Arms Act.
SI Pramod Srivastava, ASI Ramchandra Kanwar, Head Constable Anand Tiwari, Badri Singh Bhuwal, Constable Santosh Soni, Harish Singh, Sahdev Yadav, Jitendra Singh and Waseem Khan played vital role in arresting the accused.
